SNAKESKIN statement on collective liberation

As a highly sensitive being who has been molded by the oppressive effects of colonialist capitalist systems, I hold the belief that each of us holds the power to contribute to collective liberation through our our own unique expression of creative life force energy.

This can take many forms — as many as there are people in the world. The specific challenges YOU have faced in YOUR life have endowed you with the exact wisdom needed to wield your own personal medicine —your gift, your voice, your offering to the collective whole.

Within a world where it's seemingly acceptable to commit acts of violence and exploitation in the name of accumulation, it is our responsibility, as individuals who are part of humanity, to commit and recommit to the work of collective liberation.

what collective liberation means to SNAKESKIN

At SNAKESKIN, collective liberation means that ALL beings have the capacity to exercise creative freedom: the freedom to create your life and express yourself in any which way you please.

It means having the autonomy to make choices that feel right to you, rather than being confined by external expectations and limiting beliefs.

Your capacity for creative freedom grows when you commit to honoring the full spectrum of your inner world. That is, you become more liberated when you choose to say yes to the light and the dark within you, the seen and the unseen, the parts of you that have been celebrated and the parts of you that have been rejected.

By embracing your whole self, you cultivate a deeper self-trust that becomes the foundation for an aligned life.

When we nurture this loving relationship with ourselves, shifts unfold naturally:

🌿 We create from ease, rather than struggle.
🌿 We embody ahimsa (non-violence) in thought, word, and action.
🌿 We understand our external circumstances are a reflection of our internal world.
🌿 We move with generosity, because we have integrated scarcity as a natural part of being human.

SNAKESKIN is the channel through which I offer my unique gifts that I continue to uncover by transmuting the wounds I carry. And my deepest hope is that this space helps you recognize your own.
